Harry wishes he could still take the train to Hogwarts instead of the jumps of apparition that he has to make. The time would help him to settle the jumble of thoughts that he has in his mind. Everything was so simple back then when his biggest treasure was a nostalgic ticket to Hogwarts starting from track 9 ¾ . Of course he still had Voldemort on his case, but that one wonderful trainride, the vers first one had its own kind of magic. He felt hopeful for the first time in his life, excited and happy to explore life.

Can he give that feeling back to someone who has suffered so much in the war? If he could have this innocence back and ready to inject, wouldn´t that be a cure?

He has poured over the latin books last night, long after Teddy and Andromeda have left, but he is not any closer to finding a solution. How do you bring Christmas back to someone who claims not to believe in it any longer? The cookies in his poket crinkle and he looks at the familiar castle, he still has a sense of coming home when looking at Hogwarts. He walks up to the castle from the last apparition point and gathers his thoughts.

Draco Malfoy at the trials, the broken tired boy that couldn´t quite believe when Harry had stepped up and told the Wizengamot that he believed that the Malfoys had undergone enough punishment and that he was simply trying to protect his family, and wouldn´t anybody have done the same? He had felt hope Harry was sure, there must have been hope underneath to reawake that hope he was determined, if only he had an inkling on how to start.

“I can hear the Nargles breeding in the clouds around your head!”

Harry felt relief coursing through him.

“Hey Luna.”

The former Ravenclaw looks like an Christmas Angel personified with her blonde hair and the white robes.

“Did you bring me cookies?”

“Of course!” Harry beams at her.

“Great, come in. We can drink tea and you can tell me all about your new obsession with Draco Malfoy.”

And just like that Harry finds himself talking once again to a headmaster about a former Death Eater. But this time it is tinged not with distrust and despair, but with wonder and hope.
